ضمن فعاليات الرحلة الدعوية إلى جمهورية كينيا:
وصل العلامة الحبيب عمر بن حفيظ مساء يوم الجمعة إلى مالندي، وقام بافتتاح مسجد النور، في قرية غيدي، بحضور عدد من أهالي المنطقة، وألقى محاضرة قيمة في المسجد تحدث فيها عن ثواب بناء المسجد والفضل العظيم لمن يواظب على الصلوات مع تكبيرة الإحرام، وأوصى بالاهتمام بعمارة المساجد بتعظيمها وأن يكون القلب متعلق به إذا خرج منه حتى يعود إليه، وبقراءة القرآن في المسجد وعقد حلقات العلم فيه، وختم الكلمة بالدعاء أن يتقبل الله منهم ويهبهم فضلا كبيرا ويرزقهم التوفيق لمرضاته.

During his dawah trip to Kenya, the erudite scholar Habib Umar bin Hafiz arrived in Malindi on Friday evening. He opened the An-Nur Mosque in the village of Gede, attended by many locals. He delivered an insightful lecture at the mosque, discussing the rewards of building a mosque and the immense merit for those who consistently offer congregational prayers while getting the initial takbir. He emphasized the importance of maintaining mosques with reverence and for one's heart to remain attached to it even after leaving, longing to return. He stressed the significance of reciting the Quran within the mosque and holding circles of knowledge therein. He concluded his address with a prayer, asking Allah to accept their efforts, bestow upon them immense grace, and grant them the success to please Him.
